How to Install and Setup DeptoFlow

Installing DeptoFlow is quick, secure, and straightforward. Because we value your privacy above everything else, the setup process does not require linking any bank accounts, providing credit card details, or registering with insecure third-party servers. Follow this simple guide to get started:

1. Open the Google Play Store: Click on the "Download for Android" button above or search for "DeptoFlow" directly in the search bar on your mobile device.
2. Download and Install: Tap on the "Install" button. Google Play will securely download the app binary, verify its package integrity, and perform a security scan to ensure it is free from malware.
3. Launch the Application: Once installed, tap "Open". You will be welcomed by our minimalist welcome screen. There is no tedious registration form—your account is initialized locally and privately.
4. Configure Your Categories: Tap on the settings icon to configure your custom expense and income categories. You are now ready to track cash flows instantly!

Configuring Secure Google Drive Backups

Since DeptoFlow stores all records in a local SQLite database sandbox on your device, your financial logs will be lost if you lose your phone or clear application storage. To prevent data loss, we have integrated a secure Google Drive synchronization module.

By enabling this feature in the app settings, DeptoFlow will generate encrypted snapshots of your local SQLite database file and upload them directly to your personal Google Drive account. Because the encryption happens locally on your device before transfer, nobody (including Depto Technologies) can read or parse your backup data. To set up:

• Navigate to the Settings panel inside the DeptoFlow app.
• Tap on the "Google Drive Backup" option.
• Authenticate using your preferred Gmail account and authorize read/write access to the application's private app data folder.
• Select your desired backup frequency or click "Backup Now" to upload a snapshot immediately.

Security Policies & Safe Downloads

For security reasons, we strongly recommend that you only download DeptoFlow from the official Google Play Store link provided. Avoid downloading unverified APK files from third-party hosting portals or forums, as modified binaries may compromise your device's safety.

DeptoFlow does not request invasive permissions to read your transactional SMS alerts or log keystrokes. Other automated budgeting trackers scan your incoming notifications to parse spending, exposing your sensitive bank tokens and account numbers. With DeptoFlow, every log entry is typed manually by you. This ensures absolute safety from digital banking frauds, keeping your financial lifecycle strictly confidential.
